HELPING ORGANIZATIONS NAVIGATE THROUGH GRIEF/BEREAVEMENT
PROVIDING STRATEGIES & TOOLS AS THEY SUPPORT THEIR CLIENTS
PROVIDING STRATEGIES & TOOLS AS THEY SUPPORT THEIR CLIENTS
One of the critical factors in how people respond to grief is the kind of social support they receive. For workplaces, policies and practices must be somewhat adaptable to meet the company’s and the grieving person’s needs. I work with Human Resource Professionals, managers, and leadership to review current practices and to provide grief literacy/strategies for how to move through grief experiences together, both during and apart from work hours.
When we are impacted by personal loss, it often challenges our work life. For managers and colleagues, it is essential to learn how different people show up when they are stressed, what they are motivated by, and how they communicate, especially when coping with loss and grief.
Working with the Enneagram as a team can provide a common language and framework to promote understanding and compassion in the workplace. In the future, I will offer groups and organizations coaching and training in the Enneagram.
Note: I am working towards Professional Certification with the Narrative Enneagram, intending to receive it in May 2024. Information here.
Over the past few decades, the wellness industry has successfully marketed self-care as the way to healing, health and happiness. This has also been the solution for offsetting/preventing worker burnout, compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma.
SELF-CARE (IN & OF ITSELF) IS DAMAGING?
This workshop looks at self-care from a critical lens, using our collective wisdom to find a new way to move towards (and promote) health and healing. This interactive, three-hour workshop involves case studies, interactive exercises, and small group conversations. This is an essential and timely conversation as our world shifts socially, politically, and ecologically through these challenging times.
COMMUNICATION AND GROWTH
“Soft skills” are in more demand now than ever before. Post-pandemic, people are anxious, irritable and conflict prone. Talking about how to speak so that others both listen and hear what you’re saying is a gift. This workshop addresses how emotions are necessary in the workplace, how they are a source of information, we must pay attention to, and how we make space for them in our organizations and teams.
